Removing Engine - Tips and Tricks

Hey guys,

Looking for the best way to remove the engine from car if anyone has done it themselves, will be doing it at home in the garage with help from mates where needed, so no hoist etc..

So far I've found you can remove the whole front nose cone, or drop it out the bottom (looks to require a hoist) or just the old fashion way straight up and out.

Anyone have any pros and cons for easiest way please? Will have my replacement engine over next couple weeks so planning for now :) thanks very much in advance.

Found a couple of good DIY youtube videos around it here, anything they are missing? - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3AVOZtS2bE and here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGEL...ature=youtu.be

Cheers!

By far, the easiest way is to support the engine from below and raise the subframe over it. But it does require a lift. Plenty of people have done it the other ways without issue. Take your time and you'll be fine.

I completely agree with the commentator above, since the easiest way is to support the engine from below and raise a subframe above it. But for this you will need tools and not a few if you do not want to give in to the service and have straight arms, but even with a lot of tools you will encounter inconvenience in terms of transfer and as for me you need a tool bag that will help you with any repair and I found a blog where they will tell you more and highlight the top 5 https://toolboxwiki.com/reviews/best-rolling-tool- bags/
