Rear Timing Cover Oil Gallery Gasket
 
Hey guys, I have been doing some research before I pull trigger on a used Z34. Something that has been concerning me is the Rear Timing cover oil gallery gasket. Does anyone know which year Nissan/Infiniti switched over to the metal composite gasket from the paper gasket? Also, if anyone has experienced this issue, do you guys mind telling me which year you have? This is something I would like to avoid if i can so your input would be very helpful. Thanks

You mean front timing cover oil gallery gasket. They switched in 13/14.

2012+ models have the new metal gaskets. which help prevent the oil gasket blowouts, but some can still have issue with the OEM fasteners backing out over time. This happened to me and can be found here:
