My guess is that you have a piece of trash caught in one of the passages. Only way I know to fix that is tear down the trans, clean it out, put it back together, and cross your fingers. A replacement trans would probably be cheaper.

If it were me and I decided to replace the trans, I'd tear down the old one to see if I could figure out what happened.

Oh I’ll def take the trans apart to see what caused it. One of my Nissan tech friends said “I’ve been at Nissan 8 years. I’ve never seen a 6M or 7A trans fail.” He Even advised against getting a new / used trans. We ran codes and got nothing regarding TCM except a P0725 “engine speed” error due to the car being in neutral and driving as if it’s in first gear. But at this point I’ve broken a flex plate. Replaced. Had problems with it stuck in 3rd gear. And then replaced Valve body & solenoids. I put my TCM onto the new valve body and solenoids. And it’s been fine for months. But at this point I’m ready to just swap an entire new (to me) lower mileage trans. And have it programmed to my car if need be. To eliminate the confusion or future issues.

Thats what I'd do, is swap out a good used one in the car. Its just nuts and bolts so should be easy. I wouldn't mess with the current one other than using it as a Trout line anchor!!!

Be sure all electrical connections are solid; especially the grounds.
Hope all goes well
