Got P2098 Bank 2 Lean

Test pipes installed that have J bends with Z1 Oxygen (O2) Sensor Extension Bungs and they threw up only that code.

Only have Stillen CAI long tube.

Was hoping the J bend and O2 extensions would keep the pesky CEL away until I can get a tune.

Any ideas besides removing the CEL via OBDII or is tune the only option at this point? Also, is Bank 2 the driver side?

You can do test of switching post-O2 sensors to see if the bank 1 goes lean first. If so, then it's either one of the extensions is going wrong or one of the post-O2 sensors is broken.

What year is your car? Nissan tightened up O2 parameters in 2013?? I think. I had an 09 with ART pipes for 3 years and never saw a CEL. Bought a 14 and put the exact same setup on it and it throws a CEL for both banks every time I clear it. So you may just have to live with it until you get a tune.

It's a 2017 model w/ the AAM Competition 370Z 2.5" Test Pipes and the long tube Stillen intake

Cleared the codes but now got a new code, P1059 on Bank 2 and the other code disappeared. Everything seems to be appearing on Bank 2.

I might have to lift up the front end and remove the O2 sensors and have a look at them.

Definitely could be possible it got damaged if it's only pertaining to that specific bank and not both.

That's what I'm thinking. I forgot to mention I had an axle back installed when I got P2098. Put back on the original Nismo muffler because of the deafening sound from the axle back and test pipes and then reset the ECU. Then got the P1059.

No mention of Bank 1 at all in my OBDII tool. Where is bank 2 located exactly, driver side?

The FSM has orientation info and lots of trouble-shooting tips. IIRC, Bank 2 is on the left side* of the car, but I wouldn't swear to it.

*as you are sitting in the driver's seat

Cleared the code and the check engine light didn't appear for 70 miles then came on with P2098 and P2096 about both banks running lean so the J bends and O2 bungs don't do crap to stop the annoying light.

Guess a tune it is then.

Thank you all!
