Logic tells me this is likely your issue. But I haven't worked on a 7AT before. Hopefully someone else can chime in with some thoughts. Good luck with the repairs!

Lets hope you didnt break the trans pump engagement lugs.

Been there done that.

Make damn sure the converter is seated all the way back, drive studs/bolt holes are aligned before tightening the bell housing bolts.

Do not use the bell housing bolts to suck the trans up to the engine block, it should be just pushed together by hand.

Yes,

As you are installing the trans, you should check that the convertor is not bound up.

The converter should rotate freely by hand (or with a screwdriver thru the window) even when the trans is bolted to the block, before the converter bolts are installed.

If the converter wont rotate freely, drop the trans down and determine why.

9/10 times the converter is not seated fully in the pump.
