Unknown check engine oh boy

Well I got the dreaded p0300 code a couple weeks ago and though nothing of it. Just reset my ECU and went on my way. Only for the light to come back on the next day. Reset the ecu again. I know I know. The check engine light means somethings wrong and you should pay attention but the car was running fine. Once again reset it and it came back. Went under the hood and turns out an intake like had came off. (In reality I probably forgot to connect it when I cleaned the throttle bodies). Now the car drives and runs fine. The code only comes on AFTER I drive it and park it. Once I park it and come back to stat the car. The code is back.... with a high idle now. The car seems to idle around 1100/1200 when the code is on and doesn’t run perfectly. Any ideas? I don’t wanna waste my money and time replacing things that won’t help... I’ve read all the threads already so no need to link them. No one really found a solution to this. Oil is current as well as good gas and air filter. Any help would be appreciated

You've reset the ECU since reinstalling the intake, right?

Hard reset. Disconnect both battery poles and let it sit overnight

After an ECM reset, the engine will run rough until the ECM relearns. Go for a 10-15 drive at varying speeds/loads.
