Clutch inspection plate location

My new mechanic noticed that when my former mechanic installed my ZSpeed CMAK they seemed to have left the clutch inspection plate off:

part missing: https://www.z1motorsports.com/manual...hr-p-9112.html

I've looked online to find where this goes and all I found was this exploded image on https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/part...417-jk20a.html ... but my brain isn't working on finding where this actually is.

Anyone have a better image on where I could find where this is located? I've removed the normal plastic shroud for getting to the oil pan, do I have to remove the front suspension cross member?

I feel like I have to remove the front suspension crossm ember support stay (https://conceptzperformance.com/niss...1b_p_19387.php) Can I do this on ramps or do I need to put the car on jacks..? Not sure if there is weight on the wheels will it cause some issue when removing

Just saw your thread. You can do this on ramps without issue, and do not have to remove the cross member, but I can't really explain it better than that. Let me see if I can find a pic for you.

I can't find a pic, but you should be able to get access to this plate from the back of the bell housing/engine side of the car.

Hmm, I'm pretty lost at getting to it without removing that part. I asked around and was told that the plate is really a cover for the crossmember, not the actual crossmember, and that the location was right behind it.

If there's another way to get to this that would be ideal, but I was under there for 20 mins or so and couldn't figure it out. If you find out any more info please let me know!

Take the whole big aluminum plate off, 6 14mm nuts and 2 17mm head bolts, then youll see it.

Thanks Joe. I got it off and secured the clutch inspection plate.
