The Competition Stage 2 clutch uses a sprung hub design with brass plus and the Stage 3 uses a sprung hub design segmented ceramic. Use the clutch disc that best matches it’s intended use. I had two Genuine Nissan OEM clutch master cylinders not only fail but, leaked and only got worst over time. I highly recommend installing the RJM Performance CMC it will save you in the future because eventually it will fail down the road. I kept the RJM Performance petal with the Competition clutch and I adjusted it as needed definitely a good idea. Also I believe the Z Speed Performance CMAK is the best option to go with. If you do install a Competition clutch kit make sure you follow the 500 mile break in period it is necessary for this clutch kit so your new clutch breaks in properly. Overall the Competition clutch kits were my favorite.

Yeah I was going to do the 500 mile break in regardless of which clutch I get I don't care if they tell me I don't have too, nope lol gonna do it. Anyway I feel like Stage 3 will be alright, which CMC? The HD Premium Tilton Master Cylinder? I'm on their site now that's what I see not sure if that's the one youre speaking of?

My experience with ZSpeed Clutch Kits:
Even though you are looking at Stage 3, I purchased my ZSpeed Stage 1 Quiet Clutch Kit CMAK CSC Delete (with the 19lb flywheel upgrade) about a month ago and it was delivered within 3 days (!!!). I got it installed that week. This was the first aftermarket part/kit I had installed on my Z, mostly in part to the entire clutch system on my car failing and burning every other time I brought it out. The bite point is close to the floor with smooth and quick engagement between gears 1 and 2, and higher gear driving feels very satisfying. The kit makes me that much more excited to drive the Z every time I get the chance. I hope you enjoy yours and that it performs well on your Z! :icon17:

Awesome! I'm glad it worked out well for you!! :) I'm looking into a few, I spoke to Joe at ZSPEED and he recommended the EZ-Street Stage 2 Clutch Kit. Ive never heard of the EZ-Street clutch.

I just bought and had the EZ-Street Stage 2 Clutch Kit installed 2 weeks ago. My impression so far has been very positive. The rev changes faster and the engagement is smoother. That makes shifting from neutral to 1, 1 to 2 a lot easier than stock clutch.

There is a rattle noise at low RPM which Joe said is expected. It is noticeable, but doesn't bother me at all.

Z Speed Performance heavy duty CMC would be my first choice. Also use Motul RBF 600 brake fluid.
