Burning oil/clutch smell?

Hello all:

So I have a 2017 370Z with less than 4800 miles on i and I've noticed that whenever I'm in bumper to bumper traffic for awhile, I get a burning oil/clutch smell that really unnerves me. I was told that my car would smell a bit off when I first got it with 7 miles on it as the protective coating on it sets, is this related or is there an issue that's underlying? It's a base 6 speed

Probably normal exhaust smell.

Might want to check your CMC level to verify CSC isn't leaking.

Please do not be offended, this is just a sanity check - are you an experienced manual driver?

I'm not offended, I've been driving manuals since I was 16, I'm 33 now so I'd like to think I know what I'm doing. Owned three cars, all manuals, I'm not grinding the gears or sitting on the clutch. :P

Ok, I'll check it out, it just seemed odd when it's less than 5K miles on it to have an issue even after I did the oil change for the tune up.

Being in bumper to bumper traffic. It could be other vehicles. But if you smell the same smell on different days. Then it could be you.

Yea, at first I thought it was other vehicles but I noticed it in more places. Noticed sitting when leaving work when it was warm out and over the weekend when it was relatively warm on the interstate.

Sat in bumper to bumper traffic on the way home from work yesterday and didn't smell anything so that's good news.
