Key fob light

So my key fob light has turned on and the car won’t start. Steering wheel turns, and all the lights are working. Tried the second key fob and it still won’t register either fob. How screwed em I?

Have you tried checking the FSM for a troubleshoot?

First thing I can think of to check.

It may be your clutch pedal switch. Same thing happened to me a few years ago...changed the switch and it's been good ever since.

There are a few threads that have addressed this situation.

Yeah looking through it now. I don’t have the tools to trouble shoot

Did you try sticking it in the fobgina? Note, I'm not expecting that to help. I just wanted to ask that question :icon17:

I'm with mults. Most likely to be a clutch/brake switch. Shouldn't be more than $20 for a replacement. Or I know some people have actually taken the switch apart and cleaned the contacts with success.

Yeah I tried that. Key fob needed to be re-programmed. My buddy fix it at his shop

Beats the **** out of me lol. I was worried I was going to have to buy a new ecu. Stupid cars, why can’t things be simple. Luckily my mechanic can fix anything
