Mods you can keep going Forced Induction
Hey so I'm still learning this whole engine thing lol, come a long way though! Any who, this question may have been asked but idk how to word it to search for it so if you find a thread just link it please. But I'm basically wondering what bolt on mods you can keep once you go turbo, I plan on eventually going with boosted performances turn key kit. But for now I'ma go fbo, I know cai is turned into something else but what about headers/intake manifold and all that jazz. Also would porting the upper and lower plenum be worth it since I would be going the boost route or what should I port to prepare for that? Also I have a A/T (I know I know shame on me right lol) and know that Level10 basically runs the tranny upgrade for the car right now, but do you guys know any shops personally that could do just as good if not better for a more reasonable price? Thanks for any help :happydance:

Probably better to just decide from the start if your gonna stay NA full bolt on or just save and do the boost all at once. |

You can still keep using a dual 2.5" exhaust while boosted, and it won't be too much of a power loss compared to a dual 3".
Also, you can do flex fuel and a full fuel system before going boosted, along with the CJM oil pan. For more cooling, you can upgrade your radiator and add an oil cooler beforehand. |
I could have sworn there was no way to run the BP kit with the auto?
And I'm pretty sure that Level 10 is the only game in town right now for beefing up the 7at. |
If I am be mistaken Fast Intentions does not use Level 10 but a custom set up. I'm sure it is not cheaper but their auto tt are stout and reliable.

No actually you're correct but it's not much cheaper lmao "You can still keep using a dual 2.5" exhaust while boosted, and it won't be too much of a power loss compared to a dual 3". Okay cool thanks! Wish I found out Autos couldn't hold much power beforehand ): should have done better research |
A manual swap would in all likelihood cost more than you'd lose by selling your car and buying a 6MT. If you want boost on an auto, budget an extra $5k and your options are Stillen, Fast Intentions or AAM.

You could also try contacting vendor Juan@Fontana on here. I believe he has posted in the past that the AT/MT Swap might not be as bad as we think... but I haven't seen anyone do it yet.
