JLarson's Great Big Dyno Results Thread!
Alright, so because I'm hopelessly obsessed with research and hate having to revisit old information, I've put together a spreadsheet with information I've collected from every dyno sheet/signature/piece of information I've managed to dig up so far.
I've listed the name of the forum user, the mods they had on at the time to the best of my knowledge, their peak WHP and Torque, the Dyno used, and the shop that tuned them if they included that information. Hopefully some of you will find it useful when doing your mods! See attached GoogleDrive link. I've made it public to view. If you see any errors that I've made, please let me know! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing |
Nice!
Be even cooler of it was sorted by column C and then by column D. SG |
Tried that, but unfortunately when I do that, if I have multiple tests from the same person, it separates them. I found it more useful to be able to show change by user over a series of tests, for myself at least.

Nice work.

Missing the 2 most import things though, gear and correction. They play a large roll in overall numbers

Awesome work

Great list, I think it needs confirmation from members for accuracy. For example, my numbers were before and after tune, not stock and modified, it was on Mustang dyno, and in 4th gear. It is on RON 95 gas (91aki), so maybe this is why it is low before tune.

Nice informative list to see where you fall in regards to everyone else with similar mods. Thanks for putting it together!
|
I'm glad you found it useful! I'm trying to periodically back fill some of the information, such as gearing and STD vs SAE, hopefully this continues to develop over time.
|
Line 65, I am surprised at only 11 hp with the tune vs stock. I thought the nismo gained like 20 hp just on a tune vs base model.
|
Interesting isn't it? Based on my conversation with Vince from RT Tuning, the gains from a tune also depend strongly on the year of the car. Apparently, Post 2012, the ecu does an increasingly good job of self tuning to adjust to mods.

319 to 334 for me, 274 to 278 torque (but significantly more of a delta for most of my upper power band).

For anyone still reading this, I'm continuing to update the spreadsheet when I have time and find more data. Because it's best to compare apples to apples, I'd love to get more data clusters for Dynosty, MAM Motorsports, Hills Garage, and Z1 Motorsports. If any of you have dyno sheets from those places that I have not yet captured and can weigh in, I'd love to get your data!
The sheet is an excellent guideline, but basics should be: 1) Forum Name 2) Mods 3) WHP & WTQ, before and after if you've got it. 4) Dyno used 5) Shop used 6) Gear you dynoed in 7) Correction (STD or SAE) 8) Your transmission type. |
