Gasoline resistant heat shrink

Anyone know where I can heat shrink that's gasoline safe to extend my drivers side sending unit wires for my rrp, so many to choose from.

you want the PTFE variety.

If you end up having to order in bulk I'd buy some of the spare off you. =)

Followup:
Grainger suggests "cross-linked polyolefin" for fuel resistance and should carry it locally.

Same thing applies - if you have to buy bulk Ill take some off your hands. =)

I'm on the website and can't find them

Jayhovah 04-25-2017 08:03 PM

search the site for "heat shrink tubing".. You will see near the top the part about the "cross-linked polyolefin" being fuel resistant. Then if you scroll down a little on the left pane you can select a filter for it under "shrink tubing material".

That being said, the easiest thing is probably just to go over there.. There's one on 49th St. I dunno if you have ever shopped there, but the staff is usually really helpful in finding what you need.

Ok I'll run over there tomorrow. Thanks

I build my own Chassis and Engine harnesses, Wirecare has everything you need.

Dang, what a bust. Sorry I steered you wrong!
I usually get great help from them.

Jayhovah 04-26-2017 03:53 PM

I dunno why they couldnt help.... I just went back to the website to figure it out and I am pretty sure you want one of these (depending on wire size)

https://www.grainger.com/product/SHR...k-Tubing-3KH57
https://www.grainger.com/product/SHR...k-Tubing-3KH56

website says both are in stock at the 49th st shop.

Ask for Teflon. PTFE = Teflon. Or give them the catalog numbers (IIRC, SKU in retail-speak).
