What the heck was inside my differential?
Drained my diff fluid and found this guy blocking the drain hole. Managed to get it out with some magnets. It's also magnetic.
2014 Nismo, 11,000 miles. I bought the car with 384 miles on it. I was not having any issues, just wanted to replace fluids. It's my daily, no track or racing. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9189f30e7f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...db3122f9b2.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4303476d93.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2fa5c5a9c9.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think it's a magnet.. I was a part of the drain plug at the bottom. Must of vibrated off and just jumbling around as you drive. All the driving must of deformed it.

So my plug should have looked like this.
https://www.z1motorsports.com/rear-d...et-p-3822.html It didn't. Didn't have the black magnet. Guess I need a new one. My gearbox also didn't have a magnet on the plug. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Cut it open and see what is inside.

Could it be some solidified goo from the viscous LSD? :wtf2:

I think the mystery was solved... the diff drain bolt has a magnet on it, and his fell off and stuck to the bottom of the housing... how all the goop solidified on it might be another mystery.
