Agip 5w30 synthetic

Hey everyone,

So I went to a personal friend of mine who has owned his own garage for as long as I've been alive. Works on Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, Lambo, you get the point. I told him I want to switch the oil in my car to synthetic and he's going to do it for me. He said I can put in Mobil 1, Castrol or whatever oil I wanted. But, as someone who works on euro imports up to formula 1 type cars he recommend I use Agip 5w30 synthetic. I'm curious if anyone has any experience? The ratings on the oil seem very good and I think I'm leaning towards this. I know the topics been beat to death...but I have never heard Agip mentioned.

Here are some general specs

Meets or Exceeds the Following Specifications :

• API SM/CF
• ACEA A3-A2, B3-98, B4-02, A3/B3-04, A3/B4-04
• VW 502.00/505.00
• Mercedes-Benz 229.3

Thanks, if I can't get more Agip info I might just go for the Redline with all the great results people have been getting on the forum.

my opinion is that your Z is no ferrari or lambo or any F1 car so just use Mobil1 silver cap.

Psh......any synthetic that meets the minimum API spec for the Z. I have yet to see any scientific proof that one brand is better than another. They all work just fine unless you forget to change it and the filter regularly.

I guess no one knows anything about Agip?

I'm familiar with Agip as a brand in use across the pond but as for the synthetic oil... I dunno.

Mobil 1 from Costco is where my money goes ;)
