VDC Off on every shift

Hey all,
So i've been having a problem recently where whenever I shift, no matter how subtle, my VDC turns off and will not reset until I restart the car. It started about 6 months ago, though it only happened whenever I would accelerate and turn right (like an on ramp). It then started to do it whenever I would shift from second to third, and recently it has been happening as soon as I leave in the morning for work on my first shift. I've checked the brake pads and they have a lot of meat left, and my brake fluid is where it needs to be. I also visually checked the wheel sensor going into the hub while checking the pads, and they all seem to be in working order. Where would you guys check next? Also, I'm not entirely sure, but it seems like this issues is worse whenever it is cold out...

Edit: I have also had the brake light illuminate when very cold while just accelerating, again no matter how subtle. I've been in 4th gear before going a steady speed and it took the light around a minute to go away, even after the VDC turned off...

I'd check the brake pedal switches and make sure they are properly set.

The FSM has a lot of info on VDC. Follow link in my sig to download.

So I ended up adding a little bit more brake fluid and it fixed the issue. My brake fluid was only a tad bit under max but it was enough to trip the system I guess...
