No, ive owned the car for only 8k.. unsure about other owners.. this is usually why i hate buying used cars as theres not much to know whats been done with it lol.
Was just bored today and decided to take a look at some stuff..

Chevron and Shell 91 are my only go-to stations should that matter. Valero once when i was desperate

I'd call it slightly rich - but the last time I checked plugs, the engine had a carburetor. Personally, I'd go ahead and get new plugs, but I'll change plugs at the slightest provocation (they're cheap).

You might want to keep a close eye on oil consumption for a while. Maybe do a UOA at your next change.

Plugs were changed since I was already down there. 20$ a pop for OEM NGK DILKAR7B11.
The people at the auto parts store thought i was driving some kind of supercar due to 120$ for the set of 6..

As for oil consumption I had no oil in the plugs compared to my prev 04 G35. Valve gaskets for the spark plug were leaking on it on plug 3 and 4(?) valve gaskets were built inside the valve cover which were gonna be 400$ each from the dealer.

When i purchased the car, the previous owner (out of country here for college) had 84xx.xmiles(which he thought read 84k on the odo) on the oil. Oil was black, but it still sat on the high end. Since i was unsure if he kept adding oil, i kept track of the oil when I changed it at 48k, 51k, and 54k (added a oil cooler at this point). All is well. Oil showed norm on the dipstick as well as good comparing it to the 5q bottle.

Agree with SouthArk, A tad rich. Should be a tan color.

The white insulator doesn't look glazed or blistered.

I just changed plugs in 2 motors this week. 32 sparks in all. Own 2 Hemi's.

Plugs look fine. I see no issues at all. The throttle body doesn't look too bad. I have seen a whole lot worse in my time.

Our cars use iridium plugs instead of the platinum from the factory?

lj909 10-20-2016 01:01 AM

Yes. Factory Denso Iridium

Dreadnaught 10-20-2016 09:01 PM

Plugs look good.
