External - belt, pulley, manifold, heat shield, &c.

With window down the sound is non existent. Lol. Only time I hear it is with with windows up and no radio

So if it were internal it would rattle at all times under a load or not?

is your coolant or oil temp climbing up? sound's like you got some bad fuel.....
My ~Z~has only had e-free 93 the past 65k miles...with exception of a couple times/ & i heard the injectors clicking.
I know it's hard to get in different states & harder in mine.

I have e- free 93 here in my town. Last 2 tanks came from Murphy USA (Walmart) 93 10%

No temp rises. All normal

I tracked the car today. She ran dead on as usual the noise wasn't noticeable at the track ( concentration) however no issues so I give up. If it doesn't affect the car then I'll chalk it up to me just being paranoid to a sound that was always there but just now noticed

I have the same issue. Only when i hit the throttle hard the noise comes. Doesnt do it while parked and revving. Like you mentioned, if i accelerate smoothly there is no noise. Only when i jam the gas. It sounds like a combination of hissing/air leaking/rasp/metal in a can. It kind of sounds like a clogged cat but i have test pipes and a CBE.
