Filter came loose on cai now. cel!!!

Today my dad and I installed my under drive pulley kit and the Z1 intake manifold. Some how during the process of installing the intake manifold we must have pulled the filter lose from the tube. On my way home (4 hr drive ) I noticed my cel this happened about an hour into my drive home. I stopped at the nearest gas station to take a look under the hood around the vacuum lines. I didn't notice anything loose. As I started the car up I noticed it was idling at around 1300rpm. It's usually under 1000. Anyway long story short. I got home and started looking really close. I noticed the cai tube on the passenger side had a lot of play to it. I checked to see if the filter was loose and sure enough it was just laying there. I put it back together and started the car and let it idle for a few min. Still CEL. the maf on both sides are clean. How long will it take for the car to correct itself? Is there something I need to do?

Reset any DTCs and you should be good to go.

Disconnect the negative battery cable for 10 minutes or more.
CEL should clear and idle should be back to normal.

any debris it sucked in was burned even a little water is ok it becomes steam and cools the cylinder thats why you have some people doing water injection, next time use a filter though because the volume of air is too much without it so it will run lean and get too hot and maybe melt a piston

It's fixed now. I took it to the strip today and had some fun.
