Installed new clutch and its slipping!!
I'm hoping somebody can help me out here somehow. I recently installed a stage 2 daily south bend clutch with quite disk option along with a dxd black billet flywheel and upgraded csc from zspeed and new oem clutch master. I did the recommended break in miles and den some. If I leave the line aggressively in 1st it will just slip and then the pedal will feel spongy. Has anybody else used this combo or parts and had issues? I even made a switch to disconnect the yaw sensor to make sure the traction control wasn't holding me back. I would really hate to have to replace everything again smh $$$$

Clutch not clearanced correctly .... pressure plate is not providing sufficient clamping force against driven plate.
Does South Bend recommend dxd black billet flywheel ?? Alternative is the csc is partially pressuring the pressure plate (like you already have your foot partly on the clutch. This needs measuring up. Thrust race on csc needs to be free from pressure plate fingers with no pressure in the clutch line (eg: foot not on clutch). I am not familiar with Z1 csc kit - is it concentric with the input shaft of gearbox ... if so, it needs adjustment to remove pre-load on the pressure plate. If it is a fork-type, you should be able to adjust externally. Anyone familair with the Z1 csc kit available to assist .... |

I am the one who installed it, I've done a ton of clutch jobs but this is my first to have an issue with. The car actually drives fine still and can even chirp 2nd but it doesn't seem strong enough to hold when lauching I'm thinking something is wrong with one of the products. Did anybody esle buy a stage 2 daily south bend and it came with a exedy clutch disc? |

The alignment tool is to help you align the clutch plate and flywheel so the output shaft on the transmission will slide in apon installation.

Ok so today I took my car to work and put it on the lift and put my BG brake flush machine on the clutch reservoir and pressurized the clutch system to around 35ps. Then I went to try bleed the slave while the system is pressurized and found my damn bleeder screw leaking on the zspeed csc. I've seen older threads about this happening but I didn't notice my leak till it was to late. So if anybody buys one of these slaves I wouldn't even use the bleeder screw that comes with it. Wish I caught this earlier because I'm pretty sure my new clutch is ruined from me trying to bleed and adjust everything and making test runs.

Considering that the manual states not to pressurize the clutch system, 35 psi seems extremely high. I'd still call Joe at ZSpeed and explain to him what happened. That really sucks if the leaking valve compromised your brand new clutch :thumbsdown:
