normal clutch???
Hey guys, just wondering if this is normal. I've noticed since I've had my 370z that there is a whirring noise coming from under the car and when I put the clutch in it goes away. I know the Z makes a little more noise compared to other cars but wanted to make sure this was normal for the Z. The only reason I was concerned is because the car is much quieter with the clutch pushed in. With the clutch in the car just purrs and you can hear the exhuast much better. With the clutch out the whirring noise really masks the engine and exhuast notes. Input please. thank you

Not sure if it helps, but I had a lightweight flywheel installed on my 350z and had to explain to everyone the rattling noise, when the clutch was let out, was designed to be there. Certain performance clutches can have various noises that you would not normally find in standard vehicles.

Totally normal.

I believe it's the throw out bearing or roller bearing, can't remember which, but it's normal noise.
