Nissan 370Z Throttle Body Spacers

I ran one on my 350z and picked up some power. what do you guys think of using theses on the 370z?

Zbrah 04-14-2016 11:25 PM

If that says throttle box then it just merely increase your throttle response over your factory setting, these units do not produce any hp or tq gains. A bunch of us N/A and a few FI guys run them on our Z's with great results. Visit Sprint Booster's web site if you want to understand more how it works.

I know about sprint boosters. since were on the topic. if i used a sprint booster and then got a ecutech tune with both the tune and the booster would i even get better throttle response. apposed to just the tune?

Rusty 04-15-2016 07:22 AM

If you're getting a tune. Why waste your money on a sprint booster? You can map your throttle response with the tune.

thanks. what about the spacers. do they do anything to make them worth buying?

Zbrah 04-15-2016 10:00 AM

Generally once you're tuned you shouldn't need a throttle booster such as sprint booster. However, that also depends on who your tuner is. A local guy here with a 40th had an uprev tune but his tuner "forgot" to update the throttle map. He ended up picking a up a sprint booster to run in conjunction with up rev.

Yea that's bullcrap he should have brought it back to the guy to correct it. Again what about the spacers ANYONE, ANYONE??

Zbrah 04-15-2016 10:34 AM

There's an additional fee for a "re-tuned"

Never had one, so I can't comment. If someone does, hopefully they have dyno numbers to go with it. Good or bad.

edub370 04-15-2016 11:34 AM

this isn't a throttle box. it's a link to a throttble body spacer like people used back in the day

IMHO, save the $$ and get something a little more useful. All this spacer does is slightly decrease the temperature of the incoming air charge. It's totally up to you if you want to get it, but I don't think it's worth the $$. CAI, exhaust and tune is a better use of $$. :twocents:

Happy reading. Let me know what you think after reading. ;)

well i have the z1 plenum, stillen gen 3 cold air intakes just sitting here at the house. Already have test pipes on her. Now I'am just waiting on the FI cbe to be made 6-12week wait. After i do all the installs off to the dyno for ecutek tune.

Anything else you guys think will give me more power without going inside the engine?
