Clutch Pedal is Completely Dead

I go to start my car
My clutch springs back to normal
Then I go into reverse to find the clutch is very very short with a lot of dead space.
Then it proceeds to not spring back what so ever and is loose. As in I can put it in and it will stay there.
What's wrong guys?

They said that they put some solution into the car and it has a 50% chance of fixing the problem. Well its working right now but I hope this lasts.

Does the pedal return to full pressure if you pump it repeatedly? If so, you may just need to bleed/flush your clutch fluid.

Csc. Google it. But to save you some time. It'll costs about $1000. Sorry and good luck.

Not what so ever, it stays down and thanks for the replys guys
I'm very worried

First step. Check your fluid level.
It could be as minor as that. Major if it's the CSC.

So the mechanic thought it was the clutch master cylinder
Gives me the keys says everything's fine
Car runs 1 mile and clutch gets increasingly shorter and shorter until I was stuck in neutral and had to call him
I know it's the CSC but he insisted it wasn't. So now it's back at the shop and I'm angry because I knew this the whole time

King,
If your master cylinder fluid level has not dropped and it's not losing fluid then your master cylinder has failed. if your master cylinder fluid level is dropping then your CSC has failed.
