drive past a pretty deep puddle yesterday
 

Yesterday was pouring hard in the afternoon in new york. After i got off school , on the way up a slope into the highway, there was a huge puddle of water which is quite deep. I drove past it slowly because i couldnt turn back around. My car is completely stock, but i feel like my car isnt pulling as hard anymore, not sure if i am overthinking, but is it possible?

How deep?

Would have to be pretty deep on a stock car to hurt anything. Its the aftermarket intakes that sit down low in the middle of the front bumper (like Stillen G3s) that can easily suck up water from a puddle. Stock intakes, not so much.

not sure how deep exactly.. but i see maybe cover up to 1/4 or just slightly higher of a stock lexus rx350 wheel from what i remember looking at the lexus infront of me. I mean i have no lights or any problem driving home, just dont feel like is pulling as hard..

Question is what kind of intakes you got?

no it didnt hurt anything. either it would get a sesor wet and buck and kick a lot. maybe throw a code. or it would hydrolock. and since your car is running, that didnt happen. let it dry out overnight, it'll be fine

You may have gotten the air filters wet (not a high probability on a stock setup). Could be an electrical problem. In either case, it should dry out fairly fast.

Has the outdoor temperature changed lately? Power output is highly dependent on AIT.

BTW, butt dynos are terribly inaccurate. You may be expecting a problem, so you feel one, even if it doesn't exist.
