Fitment

I'm pretty sure the 2012 engines are the same VQ37 as the 2009? I was engine shopping, and the parts dealer said it won't fit. Am I missing something, or do I need to swap something out?

Also how hard is it to convert the AWD to RWD, I found a couple of good g37 engines.

Should be the same . I don't see why it's different. There has been so power difference . Mounts should be the same . ... What you in about to awd . It has been rwd forever hahah . Even the old z always been rwd.

U need a whole front clip, it will be cheaper that way, from an AWD G37x, u need its front suspension, and u need to replace the rubber bushings, suspension isnt build for low profile tiers, u need the tranny that comes with it, u might need to repipe ur exhaust where the front driveshaft will go, u cant install TT's cuz of that as well u need to go with single turbo i sugest BP, u can reuse the370 ECU if u can tune it to that ranny, everything else should bolt right up, also u need a custom length rear drive shaft. I say use that front clip engine if ur not taking it apart, cuz u need thar whole bottom section.

Assuming ur comming from an auto Z.

More things might be needed this is just from top of my head.

To convert a g37awg motor to a 370z you need the rwd upper and lower oil pans and you will need the z's powersteering pump. The awd g's usually have unisia pumps not the hitachi. The pump lines and pump bracket are different. If you have the z motor just swap your pan and accesories ontoo the g engine. My old car has a g motor and g ecu flashed with a 370 rom.

U will also need the rwd engine mounts and exhaust manifolds

How much more complicated would that be? Im having a mechanic put it in but not a 370z specific mechanic.

Its not hard when both motors are out. It is just some part s w apping and some rtv silicone squeezing and and two orings for the pan and bam done. Adds maybe an hour

Edit: just make sure he knows there is a hidden bolt under the lower pan that holds the upper pan on or else he will crack your z pan and you will be ****** like you pull off the little sheetmetal pan and under there will be an additional bolt that holds the cast pan on
