I was just going by what my tuner told me to wire in which was that line. Seb@specilityz is one of the best so I would assume he either accounted for that or something else is at play. according to my sensor, the following is all I should be seeing only my logs

Zeitronix ECA : SEMA Award Winning Ethanol Content Analyzer and Flex Fuel Sensor for E-85 and E-85/gasoline Blends

my sensor reads 0v - 5v

1.8v to 4.8v on that wire would come out to a min and max of E36 to E96 yet I just pulled 93 pump logs and my E85 logs and see I am below the minimum on 93 pump gas. Id assume with ecutek your tuner can make that wire do whatever and read whatever he wants?

Content percentage 93
9.1922
9.2027
9.1931
9.1922

Content percentage E85
79.3883
79.3852
79.3837
79.3883

On a side note Phunk, how much discount do I get for not getting this badass fitting setup with my original kit ;) Wasnt I one of the first people to ask for help with installing this sensor in line... lol

Hi, I want to run with e85 fuel.
Can you tell me where you bought this flexfuel kit ?

Do injectors and pumps need to be changed? I do not wish to gain power (for the moment) :driving:

Thanks

https://www.specialtyz.com/370z-g37/...-fuel-kit.html

yes you will need bigger injectors either Stock GTR injectors or injector Dynamics ID1050X

Thanks :)

What’s the difference beetwen this product :
https://www.specialtyz.com/370z-g37/...-fuel-kit.html

And this :

https://www.specialtyz.com/zeitronix...and-gauge.html

because I would like to buy on ebay (paypal assurance) and I found a product equivalent the 2nd link.

The first one you posted is a full kit, with the fuel supply hose modified and it includes the analyzer, harness, and sensor. The second you posted in just the analyzer, harness, and sensor, so you'll have to make the rest of it yourself.

Hi everybody,

I contact my mapper about flexfuel tune, he says that e85 sensor it’s not necessary, the lambda probe is there to analyse the fuel.
Injector gtr it is not necessary for flexfuel tune without performance gain.

What do you think about it ?

I think he's directly contradicting a lot of people's experiences here.

The very function of the FlexFuel feature is to detect the ethanol content and adjust the calibration around it. The 2 absolutely necessary components of FlexFuel is the sensor and engine control software that is using the data from this sensor.

You CAN run E85 without FlexFuel, but its not called FlexFuel, its just called running E85. Its a separate tune, sort of like you would use for high octane race gas.

As for running stock injectors with E85, never tried it. But arent stock injectors like 310cc? Anyone know? If so, that is too small for E85.

If the math is done here it comes to be a minimum of 384cc/or 37 lb fuel injectors. When running E85 with the stock fuel injectors a DTC will appear as not enough fuel volume will be available to use because the stock fuel injector size is too small to run E85. You will need 550cc or larger fuel injectors and upgrading to a larger fuel pump is cheap insurance as I have seen several people have their stock fuel pumps fail after upgrading their fuel injectors, running E85,and not upgrading their fuel pump at the same time.

Chuck33079 06-19-2019 05:28 AM

Are you seriously "informing" phunk about fuel systems? Are you high?

phunk 06-19-2019 02:07 PM

Well, credit where due, I learned the stock fuel injector size :) Ive seen it 100 times but I will never remember since we never use them.. by the time I am working with a customer they are out of the equation.

Is it possible to run a toggle switch for the evap sensor/flex fuel sensor? So when it comes around to smog time, I can just flip a switch and reflash the ecu to smog?

California T.T

When I run a scan, it shows evap system monitors not ready. My smog guy told me that won't affect the smog test.
