You doing a forced induction or all motor?

Elmo370z 01-28-2016 12:10 PM

I wonder will the system have a fail safe? Just say the belt comes off by some strange miracle. I know the new sting ray vettes have that system in place, it runs off a wet sump system and when it needs more oil the dry sump comes into play, something like that. Also from 1slow mounting of the tank, would you build a cage around the tank so just incase something bad happened and the tank ruptured hot oil wouldn't go flying around the inside of the car cooking you like a pot of crawfish.

Not agree, based on what? Any comparison?

Just based on the dyno graph on the first page compared to the ones available for the JUN cams on similar set ups(Not the built high compression motor). There have also been some issues with the JUN cams idling correctly without having to bump the idle RPM up considerably, not something we like to do on most street applications.

The other huge selling point is state side customer support, I realize this does not have an impact on you. But JWT has been tremendous to work with, and takes very good care of their customers via quick support and a vast knowledge of the VQ platform. JUN is very hard to communicate with here in the US, so its a hard product to support with any questions that need to be answered.

Daelen I sent you a PM yesterday did you get it?

chuckie311 01-28-2016 12:23 PM

Idle issue can be solved by consult, after cams installation and VVEL plus Throttle reset procedure. Didn't suffer any major issue with JUN cams, everything is straight forward. I guess the same procedure as with JWT cams, but here there're no springs etc
You're right about support, but then what kind of support you need from manufacturer If we're talking about bolt-on solution. The only one answer I did asked Junichi-san was: "what is the clearance?" As whole instruction was written on Japanese)

Talked to Daelen great guy( thanx man) we spoke for about 20 mins I think I'm going to go with STG1's but may change my mind in a few months when we might have some info on the STG2's. Only reason is I do not want a very lumpy idle. I'll have to see what it idles like and the WTRQ difference. BTW I still can't find the idle vid of the STG1's. :/

This is a built motor, with the C1 cams, and a Fast Intentions Stage2 Turbo Kit.

We have zero issues with shipping cars or engines :) If you would like to shoot me a call, would be more than happy to chat! 410-593-7080

We have a shipper that is from out west that has taken care of a few of our customers cars.

Once thing to be aware of, and I am working with JWT to nail down some solid info. For a brief period of time Nissan did not do a DLC coating on the exhaust side cam bucket. Those buckets are required for these cams due to the tolerances. Its an easy and cheap swap, and once we have exact manufacture dates I will keep everyone updated as far as who needs to buy those with the cams.

You ever find out the info on those dates?

I always see huge gains on these cars no matter the item when it's a first mod! Have you guys installed these when a buyer had nothing else to bolt on?? I'd love to see that increase.
