Did your tuner increase the line pressure in your tranny?

turbooo 09-23-2015 07:52 AM

OK. ..let's summaries the case:-
1- When driving normal, gear is on D ....Car moves fine but puddle response is very bad...I press fully I get low response. ..I pess all the way down...RPM goes to 4,5,6,7...but the car is moving very slow...
2- I put the gear on M..start with gear 1 press hard...car moves fantastic but then power gows down after RPM reaches 5 or 6...I shift to 2 gear and the car jumps and moves very fast till RPM 4 then as if some on is holding it from moving...I shift to third it Flys but then at RPM 3 it dies again. ..same till gear 7
3- engine overheat when RPM goes above 3 or driving fast...heat gage on the digital gage reads 4 on idle and normal driving. ..it reads 9,10,11 whenever I speed or push the engine to upove RPM 4
4- any kick down will result RPM moves up fast but lag on speed...
5- dyno tune was done using up review. ..5 settings...max HP was 310 on the wheel....
6- Gtm supercharger stage 1 kit installed with engine oil cooler and intercooler...600cc injectors and full pump that comes with the kit..
7- fans are programed to cool faster earlier.
8- noise is there as if you r driving the car and there is no oil in the powerstering system.
9- Oil and filter is changed....termostat is changed...plugs changed...radiator water changed and reserva is full...

None of the above was happening be4 installing the supercharger...car was smooth running nice with no issues at all...maintained ever 5k KM in the agency...zero defects.

Mechanic told me it could be tourq converter issue...some times it happens. ...other times it's normal...however, if I put it on tiptronic manual and change the gear manually, everything seems to be fine...

Are you sure it's not the transmission downshifting? With seven gears, there's a lot of shifting going on.

Tranny cooler for the above :/ ^^, Ug spend all that money, Hit on small bump in the road and rip it out, God I wish I had $$$$ like that to lose :/

The lag in gears sounds like the tuner needs to work on the trans tune. My car is a 7AT with a Stillen supercharger and it responds very quick. I had lots of cooling problems because of the coolers being stacked, is your oil cooler right in front of your radiator?

This. Your tuner sucks. 310 whp? Find a new guy. The one you have is incompetent. Fix the fan settings and the trans line pressure, replace the radiator. Run straight water and water wetter. With a good tune and the cooling addressed, your problems will go away.

Yes it's in front of the radiator

I will give it another try and see before removing the supercharger

:iagree:

Guess I missed a post where he only made 310whp. Definitely a shitty tuner. **** I made 310whp NA.

ANMVQ 09-23-2015 09:13 AM

I guess I missed the 310 WHP post also WOW :(, Agreed tuner SUX, I'll be honest how can that person even call themselves a tuner. I just read your summry and sound like the car runs like crap, Now I know why you are so pissed. But your pissed in the wrong place , You BETTER ask for every penny you gave that hack of a tuner and go somewhere else. Look into ECUTEK the have support all over the world, Hell get and etune the car will run better than that . Sorry is this comes off like I'm mad but I am, someone goes out and spends 10k on FI and gives it to a so called "tuner" and they tune your car to blow up ! :wtf:

Chuck33079 09-23-2015 09:16 AM

That's embarrassingly low power. Even the canned tune from Sam would have been better, and those are awful. If that's the quality of the tune, how much else did he screw up on the install?

OP: do the following:
1. Find new tuner
2. Install CSF Radiator
3. Enjoy 400+ whp

JWillis72 09-23-2015 09:19 AM

I just realized you are in the UAE, you need every thing you can possibly buy for cooling (radiator, big oil cooler, trans cooler) to keep it cool. You might even need to get a bumper with more openings to move coolers around and a vented hood to get some heat out. If that 310whp is measured the same as in the USA I agree with jwick, that sucks.

andy_meng1024 09-28-2015 04:39 AM

Yeah, you need a lot of cooling mods. I'm in Taiwan and I have 2x34row oil coolers in parallel, 25row trans cooler for 7AT, 16row cooler for LSD, 40mm triple pass custom radiator, Zele front bumper to keep both oil coolers on the side, and I'm N/A only. This keeps me running 30min track session without overheating.

I also live in the UAE, but I don't know Turboo. I also don't know who did his install, but in doing my research for what I want to do I found a tuner shop that specializes in nismos and Zs Alpha Logic in Dubai. I haven't used them yet because I cant figure out to do a TT or a SC because of this environment. high heat/humidity. Jwillis72 is absolutely correct!
