Weird metallic rattle (occasionally)

So when I'm driving with the windows down, I can hear a slight metallic rattle when I'm passing parked cars or driving next to a guide rail etc.... Coming from the passenger side

It will go away if I touch the brakes real quick, but does come back after a few minutes.

It's tricky to explain but if I were to describe it, it sounds like two washers rattling together. Obviously that's not what it is, but that's the most accurate thing I can think of that would make a similar sound.

I initially thought maybe I had something stuck in the brake pad as it goes away when I tap the brakes, but it's still there after a couple of days.

Any thoughts from the team?

Thanks in advance..

Check the dust shield.

For debris or as the source of the rattle?

Or the heat shield above the muffler

100% break shields. Is the sound like a metal being grinned in a high pitch tone?

Both. Or they can get bent and come in contact with other parts.

Yup, but remember it's intermittent. Does that still lead to the shield you think?

Not that, I removed when I deleted the muffler
