Hi I've heard conflicting information. Where the hell is my MAP sensor or sensors??? I have a 2011 Z touring model. I'm told it is under the manifold cover then I was told that there are two on each side of my intake hoses or whatever they are please see photo. Can someone WHO KNOWS FOR SURE PLEASE TELL ME? I've been getting the engine light with the PO 106 code.
I'm also wondering how to check if they are bad. The things in the photo are in pretty tight and I'm hesitant to yank them out. What do I do? Can you explain like I'm 5 years old please? Thanks!

The things you have circled are the MAFs, not MAP. The manifold cover is the thing with the Nissan hamburger on it. IIRC, there is only one MAP and it is located on the backside of the manifold. But it has been a long time since I looked at that section of the FSM. Download the FSM (see link in my sig) and it will show you where the MAP(s) is located, how to check it (although diagnosis may require special equipment), and R&R procedures.

Those are MAF sensors.

I believe the car has 1 MAP sensor, top/back of the manifold

MAP's on the back right side. It's a 10mm bolt holding it down on top.

Huh?

That photo on your post looks nothing like my engine.....So what are those two things in my photos???... When I looked at them they sure look just like the MAP Sensors....So you are telling me those in the photo are NOT them. It is underneath? Thats is why I put the post up in the first place, to find this out. Thank you.

Lol yeah because the engine covers off.

Those are the mass air flow sensors that everyone said. MAF and MAP's look nothing alike!

You've got two MAF's, one in each intake that measures the "air flow."

You've got 1 MAP on the mani that measures the "manifold absolute pressure."

Your issue is the one on the mani's back right under your cover, the MAP sensor.
