transmission question

Quick question, I was looking under my car checking my exhaust and found that a part of the transmission has some type of oil coated on it. Is this normal? Maybe gasket or seal in trans worn? I don't think it's csc I had that replaced 2 months ago because that was leaking and it's further up the trans in the bell housing. Pic attached.
