Anyone with SprintBooster issue installing on 2014+ models?

I have a 2014 370z that I recently bought a SprintBooster for and is having issues clipping in place on the SprintBooster connector side towards the ECU side (peddle side clips in fine from the SprintBooster). Purchase was made from MiniMania.com. The issue lies with the sprint booster connector itself. The plastic material is very cheap plastic so the issue does not surprise me.

I had reported the issue to Ken from MiniMania.com and he asked that I send him pictures of the issue which I did. He later responded that he will get in contact with his engineers. So it's been weeks and still waiting on a response. The issue is not that complicated as the problem is with the locking tab shown below. I took the liberty upon my self to just fix the issue since the company I bought it from is simply none responsive at this point.

The red area shown in the picture is where the factory female connector end from the ECU does not fully lock in because the first square locking notch sits too far back. The issue can be fixed if I were to just file a little bit of the plastic notch away shown in red.

This is not a exact picture of my sprint booster, but it gets the point accross.

Is that for the 370Z? Mine looked different. It also makes a difference if your car is 6MT or 7AT.

The one in the picture is just an example picture. The one in my 370z MT is a cable/connector on each end.

Mine just plugged right in, but I got it directly from Sprint Booster. I had no issues at all.

Yes but mostly no IMO.

It is helpful and fun for getting off the line faster.

BUT it is annoying when already moving. It makes it hard to modulate the throttle especially when in "race mode". Finding I'm leaving it off more than having it on, especially after installing my Quaife diff. It is defiantly not useful for the track.

It is more of a toy than a serious mod.

Mine is coming off when I install my Racelogic Traction Control system.

For an automatic, definitely. The ECU has a "significant" throttle delay with the AT, and the SprintBooster eliminates it. Makes my Z more responsive and fun to drive.

I think just for the fact you can turn it off and on.....makes it worth it.

It's like having the 3 Final Drive Gears.....Stock/3.9/4.1....at the push of a button. Like said before, it is a "toy" so to speak, but it does get you to those higher RPMs quicker, by signal manipulation.

I'm on the fence on buying the SprintBooster because it's 50/50 between everyone. People swear that it's worth it, some people say it's a placebo. I'll probably end up trying it a try since I do have a 7AT. Hopefully I end up liking it..

I think you'll like it. I was bored, had some $$$, and kept seeing the testimony of those who didn't care if they got flamed by "tune the ECU crowd". I bought it and like it. Don't get me wrong, I've done too many mods not to get a tune......but I got my tune for my G37 and it still needs some throttle work.

After reading all the "Yays & nays" about this product, I decided to go for it.
I have a 7at and the lag was annoying. The Sb cured this lag and made the car much more fun to drive. It does take a little getting used to, but the learning curve is minor.
My opinion is a "yay". Although the price is steep.
