Besides for being green, If you happen to be color blind person, the nozzle is wider, so it won't fit inside a regular gas fill port.

At that very same gas station about a week later, I was inside picking up an energy drink when someone with a company vehicle (truck) realized they filled the thing with unleaded instead of Diesel. He was as surprised about the gas station changing everything on the pump as I was :p

I guess they figure it is more useful to make the diesel nozzle not fit in an unleaded tank than the other way around. The kind of person who drives a diesel vehicle should ideally be more attentive than your average driver ;)
