possible hydrolock
ok so for background information i have injen intakes, and it started snowing/raining today and the kicker is that one of my fender liners are missing and i have a new one coming in the mail. car starts sputtering and i limp home. car dies immediately upon being started. im going to air the filters out over night off the car and dry off the maf sensors and hopefully all will be well. my main question for starting this thread is why is there a high pitch ringing coming from the engine bay. the car is off and has been off for a few minutes and its still doing this.

Probably something else electronically that's screwed up.

well i kind of assumed it wasnt hydrolocked at this point, i just didnt know what else to call the fact that i made my car guzzle water. its just that noise im confused about. ive heard my car make it all the time, its just that it always has turned off with the car.

also, is the driver or the passenger side bank 2? the car threw a P0175 for running too rich in bank 2. its probably the side thats missing the fender liner but just want to make sure

I do know that water in the system will make your car run really rich. Mine did when I got some water in mine. As far as the noise, idk. Sounds electrical.

Bank 1 is on the right side of the car (passenger side in US).
