Helpppp!!! 1/2 power

So today i decided to go to a car meet and upon driving my Z AT w/o VDC on I got into a lil and noticed she didn't have the power I'm already used to. I decided to make sure I'm in the right map for UpRev and powered off and on.....this time with vdc off to the next light and still very little power (rpms still exceeding past 4k) so at that point i decided let me try vdc off and in manualmatic mode and it was just sluggish. there was no power to be found.... had my friends look at it and turned her off and back on making sure its in the proper map, and finally she came back to life.....we have no ideal what was wrong with her. Someone, anyone please help me. no check engine lights, oil temp was 140-160, it was like it was in limp mode only the rpms were still going all the way up. Thank you for all the help. and yes i know not to get on her till 160 but i could feel a difference right away.

Check for intake leaks or major exhaust leaks. This happened to me a couple times, don't know the cause but some tubes had loosened up on my intake and adjusting them fixed the issue. I also found I had an exhaust leak after that and fixed that too. No idea which, if either, fixed the issue.

Your symptoms happened to me twice before I fixed everything and it hasn't happened since. Both times there was no error light, I just couldn't accelerate well. Turning the engine off and back on fixed the issue both times.

did you by chance trip the tranny into limp mode? try shutting it down for a little bit like 30 min or so then restart.

How did that happen if it did?

i tirpped mine once just stopping at a stop sign coming home from work about 2 months after i bought it. nothing happened to let me know it did. went to pull away from the stop sign and realized i couldn't get through the gears and had barely any power. i guess the tranny somehow felt threatened and went into limp mode. me just having bought the car didn't know this feature was there and drove the last 5 miles home like that lol

seriously thought blew the tranny the whole way home just pissed off. got home, called Nissan bitching, went back out like 30 min later, and after starting it up all was fine.

I've never had it happen since.
