So say you were to get 2 of the 3 combination that was listed CBE being a default, would you get a HFC or Headers? I guess i'm thinking in terms of if I change one thing, i'll want to change another so that the other parts can keep up with the upgraded part.

O it will help!! Sport package makes it worse. You have bigger heavier wheels and tires and rotors.

I wouldn't get HFC's. Whether high flow or not it's still a major restriction in the exhaust. Headers is the ultimate question though. Cheap test pipes cost almost nothing but you get a major jump in power deleting the stock cats. How much more power do you get though going from stock headers and test pipes vs LTH's? Is $1000+ worth that increase? For most probably not!

How come nobody mentioned a 4.08 gear swap? (Assuming he has a 6MT)
It's probably the easiest mod for power.

Already purchase the Gen 3, Transmission Cooler and the GTR Push button.

Next parts I'm thinking about getting is CBE, HFC and Header.

Now some people say I won't need a HFC because it justs makes the ride sound louder.

Would I be ok with just the CBE + Header? or would I also need the HFC so everything runs smoother... Thank you!

Im curious why did you buy a transmission cooler?

Check out my build thread for the cbe and HFCs. Fast intentions plus Berk hfc with stillen gen 3's sounds amazing. Really amazing in person. HFCs did give me a noticeable amount of power via butt dyno and they can be heard above 3.5k on stock exhaust.

Not saying it doesn't exist but I've never seen anything that points directly to the Berk's causing the code.

Yea, I was hearing some clips with the berk HFC and stock CBE and the sound wasn't too pleasing haha

I have an A/T and I'm just making sure the transmission stay in top shape haha Being OCD doesn't help. Thinking about getting a Oil cooling kit but its not a daily driver and when I do push the car, it gets to 200.

Do your own research and make your own decision and be happy with it...

You need an oil cooler more than you need a transmission cooler. Both are a good idea.

For the cooling kit, I'm on stillen right now, I'm confused as of why the performance oil cooler is cheaper than the street option.. -_-

Chuck33079 02-05-2015 09:48 AM

I'm not sure on Stillen's options. Just make sure whichever one you buy has a thermostatic sandwich plate.

Now once I place these cooling kits on, do I need to fill it up with anything after a while or will it be good to go after installing? lol

I'm not sure what you're asking. You'll have added fluid capacity, so you'll have to add however much more oil / ATF when you install it.

You answered half of what I was asking! lol
So after the install, I wont need to refill anything and etc righ?
Just regular oil changes and stuff.

Correct, you will change fluids as usual apart from some excess capacity. You'll need more ATF and oil. Not the whole additional amount you needed at install, as most of the additional fluid stays in the core when you change fluids.

I'll probably order the oil cooler in 2 weeks. Any brand thats good to go with besides stillen?

Chuck33079 02-05-2015 10:43 AM

You can still do it. You just need a 6MT differential.
