A/C issue

hello guys,

my car is a 2012 touring/sport that i bought in Feb 2014. i drove it with no air conditioning issues until may 2014. the air was super cold.

i then had to go on deployment so the car sat for 8 months. i got the car out of the garage this month and everything was great except the A/C. the temperature has only made it to 78 on a couple of days, but on those days the car was outside and the interior got hot, so i tried the A/C. everything seems to be ok but the compressor is not kicking in at all.

the only thing i did during storage was disconnect the battery. i have not connected the gauges since everything was great before leaving and the car was not touched at all.

do you guys have any ideas? sorry about the long post.

Sounds like you have a leak. Get it serviced. It is probably low on R134a.

I'd check fuses first. Then wiring connectors in the A/C clutch circuit. If fuses/connectors are good, then Spooler is probably on the right track. Locations of fuses and connectors are in the FSM.

What does your ambient temp say? Is it close to your desired temperature? AC auto amplifier wont command the ac or heater to do anything if the detected ambient temp is close to the desired temp.

ambient temp was reading 78 and i set the A/C to 60. as far as the fuses, i checked and all good.

Check the hoses and make sure one hasn't been abraded/cut.

Check system pressure.

i will check the pressure i guess. i can't see anything being cut since all worked fine before storing the car.

maybe it just hasn't gotten warm enough for the A/C to work.
