I'm not going to record the reinstall as that is just everything backwards. However, I might record the rundown of how I put the diff back into place as it may be tricky. Like I said, it's an easy job thus far. I will post it in the DIY and link it here after everything is done.

Sounds great I really appreciate all your help

Do you even need to drop the diff to remove the cover?

Yes, you do. There is not enough space to get to all the bills that hold the cover in place. Even if you do somehow get the bolts out, you probably went be able to get the oem cover payee out and the new cover back in.

Anyhow, I just finished the install and cleaned up the tools. I will post videoso later hope they came out okay.

Here are the videos I made. I added them on to the old DIY thread so everything is in one place.

I was streaming music off my phone that I plugged into my monitor speaker.

I usually stream Digitally Imported radio (DI.FM). They have lots of channels to choose from.

The music in my videos were YouTube streams of Above and Beyond Group Therapy.

So you would still drop the driveshaft and axle for the differential cover?

yes, its impossible to do it otherwise. this is why everyone here has told you to purchase the whiteline diff bushing while you're at it

Dragon_Ball_Z 01-29-2015 11:23 PM

I am gonna order that tomorrow since I'm already gonna be at it. Might as well, thanks for the help guys!

I was able to push the drive shaft to the side and then lower the end of differential then pry it out. I left the drive shafts in place. I recommend lifting the car up as high as possible (both front and back, not just the back like I did) to give you more room to work the saw, drill, pry bar.
