People should probably be contacting their credit card companies right about now.

I received the same email.
I'm not in a big hurry in there so don't bother me that much.

Well I have a package at the sorting facility in Texas. I guess I was one of the first payed.

johnson14785 04-25-2014 10:59 AM

Mine was delivered today... Yeah buddy

RICAN 04-25-2014 12:56 PM

Please give updates after install...make sure there's no issues....

Riptide67 04-25-2014 02:31 PM

Mine was one of the "damaged" ones. I'm not in a rush, it was a good deal to say the least. At least they know enough not to send out **** products. Quality Control is a hge thing and the way I look at it, that is the beginning of amazing customer service.

Sure, it doesn't meet what they originally posted, regarding shipping...but to me that is okay as long as it doesn't turn into weeks of waiting for a paid product.

Hopefully you weren't part of their pulley GB :wtf2:

johnson14785 04-25-2014 03:41 PM

I was also in the pulley group buy. Sucks about the wait bit I am more than happy to do so for a quality product at the price we paid for them. Let's be honest as well, if I was in a hurry to receive them I would have opted for a different ordering process other than the GB.

alphajam 04-25-2014 07:40 PM

I received my SSK today. I'm really not sure what the mystery gift was though.......... lol

Entire ordeal ISN'T new knowledge. I just happen to see a pm from a mod asking me about the status of NST and I took action right away. I had no idea this was happening behind my back as it's quite impossible to shuffle through every thread.

Also, you should NEVER buy anything from a vendor without BLUE COLORED USERNAME. Blue color means they are active vendors. If their color isn't blue and you see them promote product or send you pm, it's your responsibility to report these posts/pms to us so that we can take proper action. As I will be making a public announcement shortly, I'm going to say it again: Do not purchase anything from a non blue colored (username) vendor.

There's nothing hard to believe. Mods have normal life and career outside the forum therefore if we didn't reply to the thread in time, we apologize.

I closed the thread last night because THEY ARE NOT an active vendor. I have stopped their vendorship here last year or so, which means if they want to start selling again, promote any product or sell anything on this site, they should be contacting me first. I have closed all recent active threads last night and sent out a pm to the NST representative on the forum asking "why they chose to skip me and started promoting their products again as if they are an active vendor." So until I figure out what will happen to their status here or hear from them, I'm closing this thread too.

AK

From the big dog himself... I do really hope the guys that haven't received their ssk's do get them. Im nervous for you.

Got mine today and just finished installing it, takes about an hour. Didn't get much time to drive with it, just a quick circle around the block. Everthing works as it should. First to second seemed a little stiff but, likely due to not be fully warmed up. The shift knob I got with the kit however, does not fit. I think it goes to another kit the hole is way to big so I stuck with my stock one.

anyway there it is. Going to a wet track day tomorrow so should have some more to say then.

370ZNISMO#704 04-26-2014 09:43 AM

Wow that's good to know mine just hit m local postal service. Just home it works as planned. I hope you all get yours.

Few thought on the short shiferr. This is not specific to NST because I think they have a good quality product.

A couple of observations from this weekends track event and the short shiftier.

1. Get a heavier knob...I used the stock Nismo knob but, even the one NST sent which is about the same weight needs more heft to it. I think a heavy knob will make the shifting a little smoother.

2. I find it harder to find a 5th to 6th or 5th to 4th shift now. It is different so maybe that plays into it some. Just didn't feel as positive as the stock shifter...I found myself on more than one occasion searching for the the shift gate like it almost hangs right on the edge of either 4th or 6th gear.

3. Shifts are definitely shorter.

4. Would I do it again? Not sure I think I will get a chunk of SS and see if I can make a suitable knob with some heft to it and see what that feels like.

370ZNISMO#704 04-28-2014 06:24 PM

I hope this is not the case for mine. Thanks for the report back.

ka24king 04-28-2014 07:17 PM

Mines on and drivin it over 300 miles already! The 4th to 5th and 6th is defently an issue! If we could utilize the stock plate it would work flawlessly. One thing I will not also is the screw holding the two pieces of the shifter together is very loose and has a lot of play. Also I recently started finding it difficult to put it in reverse from time to time but then it goes in easy very once in a while. Good product for the price though. Was wayyyyy happier with the pulleys though.
