I got this Z1 csc elimination kit along with the z1 flywheel/clutch combo. at the same time, i got a new transmission thru warranty because of a crunchy 2nd gear at the dealership at around 50k miles. they installed all new components. i don't think i got a new master clutch cylinder.
so when i got the car back it, the feel was just so much better than stock. i wasn't used to the clutch being so firm. it took a while to get used to it but the feel is great. it just grabs.

I gave it about 500 of easy miles to break in the clutch. and over that time, the clutch now is easier to depress from when i first got it, i'm not sure if my leg just got stronger. but it definitely doesn't feel like the first day. i'm guessing i just broke it in and it's normal. it still feels firmer over stock. is this normal?

last weekend i went on a mountain run, it was pretty much the first time i drove it hard and for a long distance at once since i got the clutch. alot of 2 to 3rd shifting.

when i was driving back home i felt the pedal sticking when pressing the pedal and depressing it. i hear no noises, and the clutch feel and grab is the same so far. no leaks that i can see in the floor.

By sticking i mean the pedal struggles to travel down and up, almost like a vibration. this happens when the car is ON and not when the car is off. i feel it on all gears. has anyone felt something like this?

Does the pedal stick down? Have you removed the Clutch spring assist on the pedal?

i have the lighter century spring in there now. the pedal doesn't stick down. something is binding. i only feel it when the car is on. also it's a bit squeaky now when i push down.

Mine squeaks as well. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

The cylinder, I mean. Not my clutch pedal. I hear it very well in my garage where the sound can rebound off the wall.

This is the first I have heard of this sound.

Thanks,

Jon

What's the longest running mileage car with one of these installed?

I've got about a year and ~15K miles on it now. I bet there's someone with more though. And I don't know how many miles Mike has, but I know he's got tons of track laps on it.
