There's a reason why Nissan uses this in their racing!!!

They provide amazing quality fluids!!

In recent trials with different motor oils in performance motors, we have seen increases in oil life and less oil burning from forced induction and high performance motor builds.

For the G37/370z performance applications, The 5w/30, 10w/40 or 15w/50 300v would be a great upgrade from Mobil 1, Castrol syntec or Royal purple.

For the more street/light performance customers we recommended 8100 X-Max 5w/30.

We carry:
300v 10w/40
300v 15w/50

With all due respect, those racing engines are far from the ones we see in our street versions. I'm sure Motul makes a decent oil, but to compare those engines to ours for motor oil use is unreasonable. IMHO

It's ok if our engine's are not related! :) We have actually seen major differences in engine performance in terms of oil burning and longevity with these motor oils. Many of these engines are also street engines and weekend track warriors.

How would you compare the 300V 5w/30 with the 8100 0w/40 X-Max for our stock 370z engines and daily driving?

corner3garage 12-15-2011 06:20 PM

X-max usually is for extended intervals in oil changes, while 300v is more of a track/competition type racing oil that needs to be changed more frequently. Since daily driving does not really wear the motor as much, it is more economical to use the X-Max.
