From the very beginning of motorsports, the quest for speed and success is constantly pursued. Engineers quest for a faster vehicle and drivers look for greater control and safety. This quest for lightness has lead to our constant pursuit of the best products for our teams and our customers. It all began with one racer looking for a faster way to climb a hill. That racer was the founder of Braille Batteries. He was looking for the fastest way to get to the top of the famous Pikes Peak Hill Climb in the 1999 “Race to the Clouds”. He found the fastest way, becoming the Rookie of the Year and 4 years later a winner of this famous race.

How much weight could we realistically save on a DD?

You can realistically expect to shave about 60% or so while keeping function of all accessories.

We encourage all Z owners to run either the 15lb or 17lb battery set up, which shaves a total of 20-18lbs off the stock weight.

When taking a look at the internals of a Braille battery, long life and vibration resistance are already built into this battery to outlast and outperform any other battery by over 35% per pound!
