DIY: Convertible Top Care

Hi Guys,

I thought I'd document and share the process of how I have been treating my top. This process has worked well for me (very water repellant).

1. Bought 303 Fabric Guard from Amazon.

2. Inexpensive plastic drop cloth from the Dollar Tree

3. Raised the top half-way (enough to raise the front and rear parts of the top)

4. Used 3M painter's tape to tape down the plastic to not interfere with the top latches

5. Put the top down and made sure to cover the front and back windows thoroughly

6. Here's what it looks like once I've done spraying. I usually use about half the bottle. Tends to dry very fast in the summer when the garage is 90-100 degrees. :)

If you brush it on you can avoid all that prep

I had a Honda S2000 before my Z. I just spray the 303 on a sponge and wipe it on. No prep.
