Insrument Bezel Removal

Can one of our resident experts provide us with detail instructions on how to access and remove the instrument bezel. The service manual at IP-19 stops providing clear instructions after the removal of the steering column lower cover.
What I am most interested in doing is separating the instrument bezel from upper steering column cover so the bezel cover can be painted black or overlaid with carbon fiber.
Thanks for your expert input on this.
