Stillen High Flow cats

Just a question, Has anyone here installed the Stillen high flow cats in their Z? If so how do they sound? Im slowly building up my Z and was trying to get some info.

I had the G3 first, then the Dual Exhaust, just like you.. the cats added 50% to my enjoyment of the car. Sharp. Responsive. Alive. You know how it sounds when you're at a race and all the GT cars come down the straight and brake into the turn and they rev match the downshift and how awesome it sounds? There you go.

You'll need a tune with cats though, and UpRevs are north of $600 this year, so budget a grand overall to complete your build if Cats are all you have left..

A Tale

I have the Stillen cats and they sound great..."throaty" at idle. The other day a delivery van pulls up in my drive and the driver asks could I please move my car so he can turn around. When I started her up he say, "Whoa!". Nice.

I did the CBE and HFC at the same time but the sound is great. I like the hiss, pop and gurgle the car gained. Adds personality. Dunno about you guys but my '12 started throwing codes until I added a set of O2 restrictor tubes to the HFCs.

warranty out the door

If you replace it just keep in mind your warranty is out the door

chuckie311 08-07-2012 06:46 PM

they cannot void your warranty beacuse you replace your cats know your facts!!

When you start messing with emissions equipment, then they can start denying warranty.

not the entire warranty but parts

My statement above is from personal experience when i made a claim with the dealership, o2 sensor went bad only after 20k and had to pay out of pocket even with maintenance plus also found a list of other things voided. Keep the cat and u r good to go. People said just take it off before you go but that would mean every service and they do document if you mod here atleast. They can charge for diagnostic etc. Certainly not the entire warranty of the vehicle but more than you may think..I'm not here to debate just giving my two cents, smiles
