Solid core construction
Race Ramps solid core construction won't fail like that. If you do ignore the rated load of 3000 pounds per pair and exceed the capacity of the ramps, they will crush as you drive up them rather than collapse when you are at the top. So there is no risk of getting trapped beneath the car. Heavy Duty versions of the ramps are available with a 5000 pound per pair capacity.

There are no rubber pads on the bottom of Race Ramps. They are not necessary. In the case of the RLL-72-2 ramps, which are 72" long by 12" wide, there are six square feet of contact surface between the ramps and your driveway. Plus with the 6.8˚ initial incline the tires will be on top of the ramps before they would have a chance to slide.
Race Ramps are made from solid core EPS high density foam with a high friction coating. By contrast, hollow plastic ramps or stamped steel ramps have very little contact surface with the pavement. Quote:
