Base/Sport to Nismo conversion/FRONT BUMPER Cost breakdown

1 Attachment(s)
Ok guys, because I have gotten multiple PMs from people requesting info about the front bumper conversion from base/sport to Nismo, I decided it might be a cool thing to have handy for people who want to know the good and plenty about costs before deciding to go that route. These costs are only for the front bumper. I know this isn't so much a DIY, but I figured this would be a good place for the thread. Mods if Im mistaken please move. :tup:The font in the word document is really small due to file size constraints on this forum, so when you open it, just modify the font to 8 or 10. Its currently set to 5. If this helps please rep. :tiphat:

thanks, I will go to the dealer for a price quote, supposed to get me "dealer cost" .

Nice what dealer?

martin82 11-20-2011 02:39 PM

miller nissan, when i took delivery of the car, the rear aluminum bar had 2-3 very small nicks on it. They won't replace it so I told them I want parts at dealer costs, so I'm making a list and get pricing to see if it really is dealer cost.

Rep to you sir! Your list is spot-on with what was ordered for my car. The brackets are back-ordered, so my conversion is delayed.

Any idea what 96010EA & 96010E is?

In the description it just states 370z Clip. Thanks!

It is not required so don't worry about it. You do need 62675 on each side though.

Here is a list of what I used in my conversion.

scruffydog 01-05-2013 11:27 PM

tjLazer,
Thanks for the list.
For the rear bumper, you mentioned you had to get 6 screws (01451-00841). I wasn't able to find this part in the Nissan Parts website.

Did you meant to get rivots instead for the Liners (it's not on your list). From the picture, it looks like I need only 4 rivots for the liner) can you confirm?

I didn't use rivets, I used screws. I think the part # is listed. They just keep the piece attached to bumper.

Question: Screws for Front Fascia & Diffuser

Anyone know what screws & nuts to use to attach bottom Fascia (Diffuser) to the Front Bumper Fascia?

In this diagram, it's showing to use 370z Body Clip for the application, but when I went to the dealership to check out a Nismo 370z, it's Screws.

http://i358.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps7b34b879.png

This is what the OEM One looks like, anyone know the P/N for the Nut & the Hex Philips Machine Screw?
http://i358.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps6ead3132.jpg

Anyone know which kind is it? I'm thinking it's the Left set, but the screw seems different than the OEM Nismo one, the washer seem smaller in Diameter. It problem isn't the Tapping Screw w/ Nut set.

I am using the Nut Clip from my rear bumper License plate.

Here's a comparison of the Tapping Screw w/ what's on the OEM Nismo 370z.
The OD of the washer is bigger than what's used.

I know some people used the Plastic Body Clip for their car, but I prefer to use the screw if I could.

I can take a picture of the ones used on my car and upload it when I have a chance. I did the same thing, sport to nismo conversion.

Just by going on my gut feeling, the left clip and the left most screw are what I have on my car right now with my nismo bumper.

scruffydog 02-11-2013 12:11 AM

I managed to use some body clips which held up the 2 piece together well enough. From a cost and weight saving perspective, I guess I will just use Body clips instead of the metal nut with screw.

New to the forum and my second Z in a long time, but I’m looking to do the Nismo nose on the 370Z I recently bought, I have all the major pieces coming but not the small stuff that they nickel and dime you on, one being the 62675 bracket. Do you have a picture of it, Could probably fabricate this in my shop.

scruffydog 02-11-2013 12:41 PM

I'm actually converting my car right now if you want to follow up on my progress here:
Nismo Conversion

I intend to make my own bracket, the little stuff costs way too much. I am going with Black plastic clips instead of the Nut with screws. The last thing I want to do is spend ton of money on little screws, Fender Liners covers, brackets. But at the same time, I'm trying to not skimp out on parts that make a huge difference in looks/function.
