Power windows to work conveniently: doors open/ignition off etc
 

Turn ignition off.
Lift up the back of the driver door switch-gear panel and it comes out.
Under the windows switches is a large white connector. No need to unplug it.
Do not cut, but merely loop (aka "join") the white wire to the yellow wire.
Job done.
(Into your wire loop you could add a switch or hook up the passenger window "lock" switch to both windows, if you have a "worry").

If you do pull the white connector out, the windows will need "re-programming" per your owner manual, when you have finished.

I'll try to translate. He tapped in to the hot / live power wire that the windows use to open and shut when you open and close the door. This power line is always on, so now he can roll windows up and down when the ignition is completely off and or the door is open. Its convenient for when you turn the car off but are still rolling the windows up but a passenger opens the door. Or when you simply forget to roll the windows up. I don't think I actually care enough to do this but it could be helpful.

Do not pull wires out of their connectors: it may cause trouble.
"Scotch" snap connectors are OK and do not need insulation removal...or scrape away a little insulation from the two wires and add (solder) a connecting wire as long as you wish and through a switch or timer (like Hyundai's) if local thieves bend windows to get at window switches? Maybe they break glass? Or hook door handles?
The new connection will not bother your elec mirrors.

My window wouldn't come up after opening my door since my steering lock gave up and I can't even put the car into ACC mode.

The forcast is rain for the next two days over here and I needed to get this fix real bad on easter sunday !!
