They say it should settle after 3-4 days. The pic was taken less than 1 day after install, so maybe. it is definitely noticeable.
My wife didn't notice it either, until I showed her the before-after pics.
I will say I have 15 and 20 mm spacers, but I think it needs more, maybe 20 - 25 or wider tires.

Im doing this install right now. I have the front struts off and spring compressors on one. The top hat bolt is just spinning and not coming off? I can feel inside the shock the whole bar spinning when im trying to loosen it with a ratchet. I have no air tools and ive gotten through everything else fine without them. Any suggestions?

*Edit: j/k. I figured it out lol. And for anyone doing this, if you dont have air tools for the spring compressors, its well worth $50-$80 to take the front shocks to a shop and have them switch the springs out for you.

Yep. I remember that part being a PITA!

I ended up being able to get one but couldnt get the top hat bolt off the other. Thank you Mr. Tire. $20 bucks well spent. Ill post pics tomorrow/later on today. Great DIY btw. Repped.

great write up but I have a question...
What did you guys do to remove the 17mm lower control arm bolt?
MY GWAD.. tried impact gun tried just about everything...
driver side I managed to kick it loose but passenger side.. whole different story

chefsung 10-04-2012 06:40 PM

godzilla... damn you

bdub561 10-04-2012 07:44 PM

Lmao @ Godzilla

1/2 drive and a breaker bar served me well.

speedfreek 10-04-2012 09:38 PM

I had the same issue with my passenger side. It took a 900 ft lb air impact wrench to get it off.

Footloose301 10-04-2012 09:59 PM

1/2" with a breaker bar. Fairly easy if you're a man.

chefsung 10-05-2012 09:01 PM

Yes. Breaker bar is the answer.

Bought a 1/2 electric impact wrench from Harbor freight for 39 bucks and deep well sockets for 19 bucks to install my swifts. Worked like a charm, money well spent:tup:
