370Z custom upholstery

I am looking to improve the inside of the 370Z with real leather on the dashboard, side panels, etc...

I am not sure where to start and how hard my project is. I have found a person that will saw the leather to what ever cut, dimensions, stitches I need but here are my concerns:

1. Can I just cover the existing material?
2. Will covering the existing material fit once put back since it would be slightly thicker due to the leather?
3. How difficult do you guys think the project is?

You wouldn't cover the existing material. You'd remove that cover and put a new cover in its place. It's done all the time.

There are kits that are made for what you are trying to do. Keep in mind I would not use your own fabric because of the side airbag in the seat.

Im pretty sure hes not talking about covering the seats. Your going to have to pull stuff out and bring it to the guy whos going to stitch it up.

Yeah for now the seats stay as is. I am going to photoshop some stuff as to try some color testing and this weekend I have an appointment with a raw leather company which says they have automotive hides. I'll check that out and do some testing on the center console for now and maybe the steering wheel and side panel. All the easy stuff.

Once that is done I will go from there...
